How to find us
By car
The easiest way to travel from Aberdeen to Oceanlab is by car. From Aberdeen travel north along the A90 (formerly the A92) towards Peterhead. This road starts off as dual carriageway and then turns into single carraiage way. 10 miles north of Aberdeen turn right down the A975 towards Newburgh.
Drive into Newburgh, pass the Post Office on your left, the Udny Arms Hotel on your right, keep on going and Oceanlab is the very last group of buildings on the left. It's easy, but just in case, here is a road map of the area, courtesy of multimap.com.
By bus
You can catch a bus out to Oceanlab. The Stagecoach Bluebird bus company operate 2 bus routes (services 260 and 263) between Aberdeen and Newburgh. When you arrive in Newburgh, the 263 bus will drop you practically at our doorstep. Otherwise you'll have to walk out of the village on the A975 towards Cruden Bay. Oceanlab 1 and Oceanlab 2 are the last buildings in Newburgh on the left hand side of the road. If you've been dropped at the Primary School then you'll have to walk down the hill to the T-junction and turn left, past the Post Office and the Udny Arms Hotel and then straight on to Oceanlab. If you are dropped off at the Udny Arms then just carry straight on down the road for 300m and you'll find us. Buses run from early morning until late evening 7 days a week.
